Mission Statement

The Brain Injury Center encourages "life after brain injury" by working with survivors to develop connections, skills and strategies so they can reach their full potential. BIC gives survivors and their families hope, motivation, confidence, and the tools to create productive lives for themselves. BIC raises public awareness about the needs, struggles, rights and responsibilities of the brain injury community.

Description

The Brain Injury Center offers information and referrals; provides the Survivor Support program, where staff meet individually with any survivor who requests support developing an action plan to meet basic needs or accomplish life goals; and facilitates weekly activities that enhance survivors' self-sufficiency, self-advocacy and social skills through group discussions, guest speakers and a social hour.
