Description

The Center on Aging is a small non-profit within the UCLA geriatrics department. We have two main goals, Research and Education. Our Research Goal: To promote collaborative interdisciplinary research that will enhance quality of life and longevity. We have pilot research grants; early detection and prevention program studies; hold annual research conferences; and support research in the neurosciences. Our Education Goal: To expand life-long learning that will achieve productive and vital aging. We have a senior scholars program which invites older adults to audit UCLA courses; a teach for America partnership recruits retired educators to mentor first year teachers; hold community meetings throughout the year; and have memory training for older adults that offers strategies to maximize memory performance. Please help us to advance our mission of living better longer.
