Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To create a united Sri Lanka, in which we live in peace and harmony, our distinct ethnic identities appreciated and celebrated, guided by the ideals of justice, equality and compassion.
To create ways to encourage civic participation, aimed at peace and reconciliation, between diverse communities in Sri Lanka, both at the grassroots and national level. We hope to increase the awareness among the key constituencies, of the core issues and their possible solutions, driving the current conflict in our country. We help communities to organize and carry on our mission, in a manner that is relevant to them. Our role becomes that of a facilitator from then on, encouraging lasting relationships between diverse groups, expanding their scope, and empowering them. Such efforts are supported by capacity building programs, aimed at the individual and the community. Our ultimate goal is to organize a civic movement that promotes peace, which can affect policy changes nationally.
The Centre for Peace-Building & Reconciliation is a non-profit organization promoting peace-building and non-violent conflict resolution between ethnic, racial, religious, gender, and other regional groups in Sri Lanka.
