Mission Statement
The Hyde Park Art Center is dedicated to stimulating and sustaining the vitality of the visual arts in Chicago. HPAC educates and engages audiences through three program area's: an annual presentation of a broad range of exhibitions, featuring work by young and emerging artists from Chicago; a year-round schedule of high-quality visual arts instruction for children and adults through its on-site studio courses; art-based community outreach programs offering direct art-making opportunities to future generations across the south and west sides of the city.
Description
The Art Center's programming actively pursues a mentorship role with the many audiences it serves, fostering personal development in the context of a collective spirit among artists, teachers and students, children and families, collectors, and the general public.
