Description

INWOOD COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC. (ICS) is a not-for-profit community-based organization established in 1979 by a group of concerned community residents. Directed by Dr. Charles Corliss, ICS currently has a staff of over 100 employees and provides extensive programming for children, adolescents, adults and families in COUNSELING; LITERACY; YOUTH SERVICES; AND PREVENTION.

ICS is unique in Community Board #12 in that it has responded to significant community need with comprehensive, professional programs (e.g., three different certified treatment clinics), yet, has maintained its grass roots, culturally competent, family focus. ICS has also flourished as a result of the long term commitments of its dedicated neighborhood Board of Directors. It has also had the very good fortune of retaining a number of highly capable, committed staff.
