At Global Impact, all efforts are focused on making a tangible difference in the lives of the world's most vulnerable citizens. Global Impact represents more than 50 of the most respected U.S.-based international charities in workplace giving campaigns across the nation.
Each year, Global Impact and its member charities help millions of people affected by poverty restore self-sufficiency, hope and dreams of a brighter future.
Global Impact is the best partner to transform resources into opportunities worldwide.
Founded in 1956, Global Impact helps Americans support international relief and development efforts such as emergency assistance, education and health care by raising funds and awareness for its member charities through workplace giving campaigns.
Global Impact member charities include such well respected and well established organizations as Africare, AmeriCares, CARE, Catholic Relief Services, Church World Service/CROP, Heifer International, Mercy Corps, Oxfam America, PATH, Salvation Army World Service Office, Save the Children, UNICEF and World Vision.
All over the world, there are people facing real needs: hunger, sickness, poverty, illiteracy and the effects of natural disasters and armed conflict. And all over the world, Global Impact member charities offer programs that assist the poorest amongst us, addressing those needs and providing real results.
Global Impact member charities produce measurable results every day, through programs that feed starving children in drought-stricken Somalia; offer education to girls in Afghanistan; counsel new mothers in Haiti; and provide food, shelter and clean water for people forced from their homes due to the tsunami in Indonesia and the fighting in Darfur.
In addition to participating as a federation in all Combined Federal Campaigns, Global Impact takes part in state employee campaigns, local government fund drives and private sector employees campaigns, reaching more than 6 million employees every year.
In 2004, Global Impact raised $18.8 million for its member charities, an increase of $1.2 million over 2003, and lowered its overhead costs to less than 7 percent of revenue. At Global Impact, each dollar raised, each encouraging statistic and each success story motivates us to continue to provide the best way for American citizens and companies to show their compassion and to help those in need around the world.
