Looking for volunteers to be a personal shopper for clients of the food pantry. The volunteer will fill and bag the food order for the client to pick up at the allotted time. Other duties will include restocking shelves, wiping down counters and carts, and looking at expiration dates on donated food items. There are various shifts available: Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers age 55 and over for this role. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for volunteers to help with various roles at an organization that works to help older adults with food security. Do you have 2-4 hours of free time once a month? If so, please consider organizing our personal care pantry. Our personal care pantry is designed to assist clients on our program. We keep "essential" supplies in stock. This includes but isn't limited to, toilet paper, incontinence products, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, shelf-stable foods, lotion, toothpaste, and other high requested items. Volunteers pick one or two days/month to serve on a regular basis. Hours are between between 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for volunteers to help sort, test, price, and stock donations for sale. Shifts are Monday-Saturday 9am-1pm. Thursdays volunteers help a social worker and client shop through a voucher program. Fridays and Saturdays are sale days. Volunteers are needed to monitor doors, be cashiers, and packers. Route Prep Volunteer Role Description: Route Prep volunteers help get meals sorted, counted, and bagged so that delivery drivers can take and deliver these meals to homebound seniors. This opportunity is best suited to a consistent, reliable, self-starter who is able to work in a fast environment.
