Accident Survivors Fund was founded in the year 2000 by Iosif Aminov, a hard working man who came to America to give his 3 children a well deserved, free life and education. In 1998, his life took an unfortunate turn in events and Iosif was involved in a horrible accident which resulted in burns on more than 65% of his body and severe internal damage to his lungs. He remained in a coma for several months and doctors encouraged his wife and family to begin making funeral arrangements because there was simply no way a human can survive this. 33 surgeries and endless prayers later, Mr. Aminov walked out of the hospital on his own two feet however, it took many years for Iosif Aminov to fully recover from his accident. During his recovery, he had a vision of opening a non-profit organization. This organization, in which he called, Accident Survivors Fund, would be set up to help others who are struggling financially during their fight to survive and who are in need of any assistance. While Mr. Aminov was trying to put together a team, there were not many people who were willing to help out without putting themselves first.
After coming across many obstacles, Iosif Aminov decided he would hold off on continuing to build the organization and he would wait for his son Ariel Aminov to grow up so he can take over and run the organization. Ariel was by his father’s side throughout the whole experience and saw the pain and strife the accident caused. He was happy to help fulfill his father’s dream of building Accident Survivors Fund. Ariel is reaching out to different medical practices, hospitals, military, etc. and is looking for survivors that are in need of assistance in any way which Accident Survivors Fund will provide. Currently there are a group of doctors and organizations that are ready and willing to dedicate their time for different procedures and help raise money for survivors ranging from children to wounded soldiers that were affected by any kind of traumatic accident. With the help of our supporters and others, Accident Survivors Fund can accomplish its goal of being part of a miracle.
