Raising money to fund research in the battle to find a cure for canine cancer as well as donating to local area animal not-for-profits.
Braxtyn's Bounty for Bones was started after losing our golden retriever, Braxtyn, to a short and painful encounter with cancer at 7.5 years old. Refusing to allow his death to be in vein, we started the organization to raise money and awareness of canine cancer. We also donate to Indianapolis area animal organizations. The two recipients this year are FIDO and GRRACE.
Our big event is Septmeber 21, 2013 in Broad Ripple called "Putt from the Ruff". Teams of 4-6 members visit participating Broad Ripple bars putt-putting at holes created by each bar. A silent auction accompanies the event.
Much information that is applicable to humans can be used in the research and testing that is done to find a cure for canine cancer.
