Vital Options is a non-for-profit cancer communications, support and advocacy organization, founded in 1983 . Vital Options produces The Group Room, a weekly talk radio show dedicated to discussing all aspects of cancer, including support, diagnosis, treatment, and psychosocial issues of cancer patients and their loved ones .

The Group Room has been on the air for a decade and airs live every Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm PT , nationally syndicated on select radio stations and simulcast on XM Satellite Radio, as well as via the Internet at www.vitaloptions.org. Additionally, all shows are archived for later listening via podcast and on the website. Callers into the program enter the discussion through toll free numbers in the US and other countries.
