Mission Statement

Friends of the Hennepin County Library (Friends of HCL) is an active community of supporters whose mission is to enrich the resources and enhance the potential of the Hennepin County Library system.

Description

A membership organization with more than 6,000 supporters, Friends of HCL raises critically needed funds for books, materials, programs and technology; presents the highly regarded Pen Pals and Talk of the Stacks author series as well as numerous free cultural programs; and coordinates the volunteer-run Friends of the Library groups at Hennepin County Library's 41 locations. The vision of Friends of HCL is to be the foremost library support organization in the nation, advancing Hennepin County as a premier library system.
