Mission Statement

Literacy Volunteers of Lake County (LVLC) is a community-based organization that uses trained volunteer tutors to help adults who need to improve their basic skills in reading, writing, math or speaking English.

Description

Established in 1983, LVLC is an all-volunteer adult literacy tutoring program serving the richly diverse population of Lake County, IL. In collaboration with our community partners, we provide tutoring administered by trained volunteers to help improve the lives of adult learners and their families.
