Mission Statement
To empower at-risk girls and women in our communities to make positive life choices that will enable them to maximize their full potential by building personal core values and self esteem through education, mentorship programs, leadership and entrepreneurship training, seminars and conferences, travel, the arts, and the use of their gifts and talents. Include girls in education, health and economic investment bettering their chance of preventing issues such as child marriage, teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and breaking the inter-generational cycle of poverty. But girls can't do it alone; they need the world to listen to them and invest in their potential.
Description
Grow A Girl Network offers an intimate, educationally-based relationship with all involved. Grow A Girl Network makes itself visible in the community by volunteering its time and benefits to other service organizations, community collaborated events and to those involved. Grow A Girl Network believes that in order to be effective in the "re-building" or "building" of the young ladies and women involved and who participate, all must feel invited, wanted, and welcomed. Our objective is to change one child at a time. We are a prevention oriented organization. Our focus is prevention of teen pregnancy; teen suicide; teen addictions; cutting; and preventions of STDs including HIV/AIDS.
