Mission Statement

The Study Hall is an after-school program with an academic focus for children from the Peoplestown community, just south of Turner Field. The mission of the Study Hall is to encourage and empower the Peoplestown community children and families to become competitive and productive contributors to society through education and enrichment activities. By working with each student we strive to insure a quality education. We do so in a safe, nurturing, environment during the after school hours, when young people are most at-risk.

Description

Each day our students are picked up from school by our staff and transported by van to The Study Hall facility, filled with bright spaces and the smiling faces of our staff. Students receive a healthy after school snack and a hot balanced dinner meal with our staff in the dining room. Divided by grade levels, students receive homework help and tutoring in problem areas such as spelling, math etc.. Additionally, our students work in our computer lab which is linked to the internet and play on our playground.
