Hopeworks 'N Camden

Hopeworks 'N Camden is a unique, vibrant, and growing program which strives to enable inner-city Camden youth to recognize and successfully pursue opportunities for college education and for challenging, meaningful careers. Our target youth are African-American and Hispanic youth who live in Camden and are in high school, have dropped out of high school, or have graduated from high school. Our program is technology-based. We train our youth in state-of-the art computer applications, including web design and geographic information services (GIS), and provide real work experience, personal formation opportunities, and wages through our non-profit web and GIS businesses. Our outcomes are known and we produce them consistently. They include general equivalency diplomas , college credits, college matriculation, leadership positions within our program, internships, full-time jobs, and after-school and summer jobs for in-school youth who participate in our summer training program.
