Mission Statement
Fuller Craft Museum exists to support its mission to inspire and educate the public through the museum's holdings and exhibitions as New England's home for contemporary craft.
Description
Originally founded in 1969 as a contemporary art museum, the museum changed its focus in April of 2004 to Fuller Craft Museum. As one of only 8 contemporary craft museums in the country, our membership has increased by over 40% in the past few years and we have received both national and international attention with such exhibits as "Trashformations East" (an exhibit where the artists created their work using only recycled materials) and "The Edges of Grace" (an exhibit featuring over 180 works made of traditional craft materials that comment on social issues). In addition, the museum offers special events, lectures, family days, a fop notch museum school, and an expanding museum shop feature craft artist created works as well as hard to find contemporary craft books.
