Description

Create LA is a nonprofit organization providing arts education programs to Los Angeles youth both in community locations and out of a facility in Glassell Park that it shares with Keystone Fine Art Studios, a group of over forty artists creating sculpture, paintings, public art, and media installations; and managing eleven on-site businesses. The organization will create partnerships with local schools, businesses and organizations to deliver art instruction in various capacities, pulling from its immediate resource in supportive Keystone artists.

The community will be provided with a multipurpose facility where youth will be offered an educational environment to learn the theory, execution
and the business of art from qualified teachers and volunteers as well as on-site Keystone artists. Create LA will offer various programs to fit community needs including afterschool, weekend, school-break, and community-based art instruction and job training opportunities.

Curriculum building and training activities will be held when necessary, to familiarize instructors with company policies as they join the team. The current after-school model alone allows for the servicing of 200 kids per
week. Create LA will inflate this figure with its range of program offerings.
