Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate children, parents, teachers, service providers and others that injuries from fire, burns, motor vehicle crashes, poisoning, drowning and falls are largely preventable. Also, we strive to provide effective, evaluated, research-based training and materials to promote safer behavior.

Description

Preventable Injuries:

Are a leading cause of death and disability in the US;

Kill more children than cancer annually;

Kill more teens than suicide annually;

Are responsible for more than 1/3 of all emergency room visits each year;

Cost the US approximately $80 billion in medical costs.

We are striving to bring awareness and information to lessen the burden that preventable injuries can bring to a family, community and US economy.
