Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
At Do Your P'Art, we strive to bring young people from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds together by creating school partnerships and programs. Do Your P'Art programs are designed to provide a positive experience where students work collaboratively on a project, using art as the medium of expression. We define our projects such that the theme is appropriate for all, allowing the participants to find common ground and work together on their solution.
Do Your P'Art first creates a partnership between a class from one school and a class from another. The cultural makeup of these two schools has to be contrasting to provide as much diversity as possible.
The teachers from these two schools then plan meeting dates for field trips. One school visits the other, and then vice versa, and the third meeting takes place around an exhibit of their work.
Do Your P'art board members plan the curriculum and Teacher Guide books for each year's project and support the educators participating in any form they require.
Do Your P'Art stages an exhibit of all of the culminating artwork of all of the schools involved, in one central place for the third day of viewing and celebration.
