Throughout the past three decades, Tapestry Health has been a leader in providing high quality, caring health services and advocacy for the people of western Massachusetts. Started in 1973 as the Family Planning Council of Western Massachusetts, the agency changed its name in 1998 to better reflect the diversity of services the agency provides. Today, in addition to family planning and reproductive health care, Tapestry Health provides HIV/AIDS services, needle exchange and harm reduction services, WIC nutritional services, outreach, education, and other community services to over 50,000 people each year in communities across the Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties.
