Mission Statement

The Mission of Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission is to attract people and resources to assist in the effort of meeting the needs of every hungry and homeless man, woman, and child in the Valley. Through strategic partnerships and services, we empower our clients with the faith, knowledge, resources and skills to lead a life of wholeness and self-sufficiency.

Description

Our vision is to tangibly demonstrate God's love to the Hungry, Homelss and Hurting of the San Fernando Valley by offering Hope, Hot Meals, Housing, Health Services, and Healing to those in need.

Hope - A message of love, support, and freedom for a better tomorrow.

Hot Meals - Food distribution to the hungry.

Housing - Emergency/transitional shelter to the situaltional and chronically homeless.

Health Services - Resources for basic human needs.w

Healing - Programs that lead to wholeness and self-sufficiency.

We operate three thrift stores which help to generate revenue, as well as provide the clothing items needed by our clients. There are three locations: Sun Valley, Granada Hills, and Santa Clarita. At our Help Center in Van Nuys, we provide daily services the homeless, including: showers, hot meals, case management, and various skill-classes. We are a few months away from opening our Recuperative Care Center in Mission Hills which will provide immediate health care and housing for homeless patients recovering from injuries and illnesses.
