Mission Statement

To engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry by building life-impacting relationships, serving children and families, and connecting churches to underserved communities.

Description

The Project Transformation after-school programs serve about 200 children in grades 1-6 offering homework assistance, academic enrichment, nutrition education, and physical activities in a safe, constructive environment. The children are served a hot, balanced meal and participate in educational games, Bible lessons, art enrichment, computer activities and guest presentations.

Our summer day camp offers programming Monday through Thursday and is led by college interns. The primary component is reading. Each day, the children enjoy a hot meal and the afternoons are filled with a variety of events that include fitness, reading, visual arts & crafts, music, and theater.

The staff is extremely nice and friendly. Volunteering with Project Transformation doesn't feel like volunteering--most of the time, volunteers simply listen to the children read. The children are sweet and great readers. I looked forward to every day I volunteered!
