Mission Statement

The mission of WOCASA is to provide publications and resources to Women of Color that have been affected by sexual assault. We realize that Women of Color respond to the horrible effects of sexual assault differently. We want to make sure that the counselors and the other people that are helping victims and survivors according to their particular needs. We, also, want to provide support to those Women of Color who are advocating for the victims and survivors.

Description

As a nonprofit organization our goals are to:

n Provide Women of Color with information on sexual assault.

n Provide rape crisis centers, as well as other advocates, with information on helping women of color.

n Do our best to aid in creating environments where Women of Color, who have been affected by sexual assault, can begin to heal.

n Create leadership opportunities for Women of Color within the sexual assault movement.

To create a voice for Women of Color in the sexual assault movement.
