Mission Statement

Thoreau Demonstration Academy is looking for volunteer tutors for our AVID program. The AVID program is a federal program for students who are typically underserved in college, ie. first generation college attendees, minority, low income, etc. These students get help from volunteers twice a week with questions they have from their core classwork.
