Mission Statement

Our objective is to provide quality, free, culturally competent medical and behavioral health care in a dignified and respectful manner to uninsured and under-served individuals and their families. We do this through partnerships with individual volunteers, institutional health care providers, and local businesses.

Description

We are seeking a Psychiatrist that would be interested in volunteering in the Behavioral Health department at the clinic. The behavioral health department is staffed by two licensed professional counselors, 6 masters level counseling students, and two volunteer licensed therapists in the evenings. The Psychiatrist would see a limited number of current clients in the behavioral health department and provide medication interventions and consult on treatment planning with the treating counselor.

I volunteered at the Old Irving Park community clinic as counselor and the opportunity was truly life changing. They provide free medical and mental health services to the uninsured and underserved in the Chicago land area. The staff and volunteers at the clinic are truly and inspiration. I highly recommend getting involved with this organization.
