The mission of The Arts Center of Cannon County is to foster and develop an environment in our community for discovering and preserving our traditions, encouraging creative expression, providing educational experiences, and enhancing the appreciation of artistic excellence.

Description

The Arts Center of Cannon County is a unique model for rural arts organizations. Situated in an underserved area in a town of 2,000 and a county of 12,000, The Arts Center annually attracts more than 40,000 visitors. Drawing on the blue-collar roots of its community, the organization focuses on self-sufficiency, fiscal responsibility and social entrepreneurship. The ACCC is active in the state arts community, is a part of the leadership of Tennesseans for the Arts and the Tennessee Presenters Network. The ACCC currently is working with several rural arts organizations providing technical assistance, audience development strategies and arts programming to help them learn from our success.
