North Texas Youth Connection provides opportunities to enable youth and families to develop a positive healthful lifestyle by promoting their safety and well-being.
Description
North Texas Youth Connection provides the following youth services at no cost:
Emergency Youth Shelter - 14-bed temporary shelter for youth ages 10-17 provides homeless, runaway and abused youth with a safe place to stay until they can be reunited with their family or an alternate living arrangement secured.
Family Counseling - free counseling program for youth ages 0-17 (and their famililies) who are running away, truant, experiencing family conflict, or committing deliquent offesnses but not on formal probation.
Community Outreach - coordinates the area Safe Place program, provides life-skills groups to area youth organizations, oversees the Youth Advocacy Council, and develops Diversity Conference and Leadership Forum.
