Mission Statement
The American Pan-African Relief Agencies, Inc.(APARA or TAPARA) Mission is to reach out with practical and effective relief services to the distressed and underpriviledged, without regard to religion, nationality, race or gender. Our services include but not limited to education, medical, social and economic development and short term financial aid. We provide these services espicially to children orphaned by AIDS, children made vulnerable by Aids, other distressed children that are affecyed by drought, famine, war and other natural disasters.In addition to these direct services, APARA works with other religious and secular organizations to carry out its mission. It is our belief that working together, we can contribute to help make the world a better place, one life at a time. ABOUT APARA/TAPARA
The American Pan-African Relief Agencies, Inc. (APARA or TAPARA), founded in December 1998 in the State of New York, United States is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non profit organization fully committed to helping the distressed in society especially in Africa, the most impoverished continent in the world with overwhelming challenges of poverty, diseases and hunger etc that include health disaster of HIV/AIDS, natural disaster -famine and drought,Malaria and Tuberculosis which have claimed millions of lives. Our Major concerns is providing relevant services to the people affected by these diseases and as well as to further help and provide adequate assistance to the AIDS orphans and other distressed children . APARA /TAPARA carried out its programs and services independently and in cooperation with established charitable organizations in the US and Africa.
APARA/TAPARA’s Services include frequent relief missions to Africa to support people living with HIV/AIDS, the AIDS orphans and other distressed children including promoting awareness/services for the prevention and eradication of Malaria and Tuberculosis in the continent. Financial and in- kind support for our services is provided with donations from the general public, corporations, foundations and organizations etc. .
During our 12 years of service, we have made some progress as can be seen in our accomplishment page both in the United States and in Africa. We are appealing to kind hearted volunteers who will work at the comfort of their homes, schools/colleges etc to help us raise funds online to implement our various projects
