Mission Statement

To develop and sustain a constituency which effectively uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.

Description

NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon is the political arm of the pro-choice movement in Oregon. NPCO does:

Grassroots organizing
Lobbying
Electing of pro-choice candidates
Public education
Leadership development

Pro-choice Voter ID

Campus Organizing

Activist Training

Public Education

Statewide Membership:

NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon has approximately 2000 members statewide and 1000 volunteers. We have active volunteer chapters in Lane, Multnomah, Washington, Linn, Benton, Polk, Yamhill and Marion Counties. We have campus activists in Portland, Eugene, Salem, Corvallis and McMinnville.

Funding Sources:

NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon is dependent on individual donations to support our programs. Funds are raised through our annual auction, annual banquet, major supporters, membership and other events.
