Mission Statement

Friends was founded in 1999 by a group of community leaders who recognized the need for an organization to support children by providing them wiht an adult friend. All childrent benefit from the opportunity to have a caring adult outside the home who offers support and encouragement.

Description

Friends is a non-profit organization that provides the opportunity for a child (age 6-17) to engage in a meaningful friendship with a responsible adult volunteer in a one-on-one community-based mentoring program.
