Mission Statement

The House of Help mission is to aid individuals and families in need and provide food, clothing and household items to allow them to re-build their lives. We will also periodically partner with other local charities, sharing our resources for emergency needs, usually in the form of accepting their referrals for new clients. Charities in our small town often work together in the case of major events like wildfires and weather disasters.

Description

HOUSE OF HELP is an Outreach Community Ministry established to serve our Neighbors who are in crisis or need that live within the Hempstead ISD boundaries. We are supported by area Churches, Business and Individuals. We are totally staffed by local Volunteers from our various Churches. Our funds come from donations, fundraisers and the sale of donated clothing and house hold items in our Thrift Shop with the proceeds going to the purchase of food for our Pantry.

We work with local agencies such as CASA, Focusing Families, Christmas Wish and Toys For Tots. We are associated with the Houston Food Bank, participate in their Red Barrel Program, Buddy Packs School Program, and their Materials Program, which help with needed home repairs for those that qualify.
