Mission Statement

SCGA Junior is the philanthropic arm of the Southern California Golf Association, one of the nation’s largest regional golf associations comprised of more than 150,000 individual members throughout Southern California. SCGA Youth on Course’s mission is to promote the education and character development of Southern California youth through golf. We achieve our mission by creating affordable golf opportunities, teaching decision making skills, and developing a culture of healthy and active lifestyles around the game.

Description

What we did in 2015:

  • 5,400 kids participated in our programs, an increase of more than 20%.
  • Kids played or practiced more than 80,000 times for $5 or less.
  • 87 kids that could not afford golf equipment received a free set of clubs from SCGA Junior.
  • Awarded 37 scholars a total $136,000 to pursue higher education.
