Mission Statement

Serving the citizens of Kaufman County with it's volunteer citizens. Our mission is to prepare and protect Kaufman County for disasters before they strike. By providing the training and resources, we are making our community stronger.

Description

Kaufman County CERT is a member of the FEMA sponsored Community Emergency Response Team program. Kaufman County CERT is establishing teams in all locations throughout the county that can be operated as individual units or as one large team. All teams are made up of volunteers wish to help their community.

Kaufman County CERT is charged with setting up and running CERT teams across Kaufman County, helping to protect approximately 800 square miles, 28,000 homes and 85,377 citizens. Helping to protect our community, we are placing ourselves in a position to make a difference no matter the size.
