Mission Statement

For more than 80 years, Chattanooga Goodwill Industries has helped people with disabilities and other disadvantages get the training and support they need to find competitive employment in our community.

Through Goodwill HELPs, Chattanooga Goodwill Industries also provides free medical equipment to people in 23 counties throughout Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia who cannot afford to purchase it for themselves.

Description

From the beginning, Goodwill has believed that everyone deserves a "hand up, not a handout."

Funding for our programs and services comes from the sale of donated goods in our retail stores and online at http://www.shopgoodwill.com; from private, corporate and state financial contributions; and from contract labor services that we provide to businesses and government.

I am 77 years old, a native Chattanogan, and have known about Goodwill for many years and have donated many useful items several times.Also, My wife and I still shop Goodwill stores regularly, and never come out without some purchase(s). Thanks for all the good work you folk do at Goodwill.
