Mission Statement

ACE’s mission is to work with homeless men and women throughout New York City, providing job readiness and placement, work experience and a lifetime support network to help our program participants achieve self-sufficiency and establish long-term economic independence.

Description

Project Comeback is ACE’s vocational rehabilitation program, which provides job-readiness training and a supported work experience. Our participants also receive individualized case management and job placement assistance from ACE job developers.

ACE’s education program is a core component of job readiness training. The education program offers vocationally focused literacy, writing, ESL and numeracy instruction. Participants also have access to weekly computer classes that allow them to develop basic computer skills and to conduct independent online job searches. In addition, job-readiness workshops are geared towards building the skills needed to find and maintain employment

Participants graduate Project Comeback when they obtain full-time employment.
