Ryman Arts transforms the lives of young artists, helping them reach their full potential through advanced art education. To fulfill this, we harness the talent and promise of youth who would not otherwise have access to advanced training and provide them with a free, high-impact professional-caliber arts program. Ryman Arts comprehensively combines high quality studio instruction with college and career guidance and community art engagement that impacts our students, their families and the regional community.

Description

The Big Draw LA (BDLA) is a regional celebration of the act of drawing that creates participatory art opportunities for perople of all ages and backgrounds through creative drawing activities at unique and non-traditional locations during the month of October. By using non-traditional venues such as parks, public libraries, community centers, city streets, parking lots, famers markets, theaters and train stations, we are able to reach underserved populations that may not seek or view art in their day-to-day activities, and engage them in creating art.
