Mission Statement

Through our commitment to forward-thinking performance, RTE builds creative partnerships with aspiring and established artists to bring unique, outstanding theatre to the Bay Area.

As a contributing part of the San José arts scene, the Renegade Theatre Experiment's vision is to:
  • Share with the community-particularly new audiences- the experience of live performance, in the forms of drama, dance, and music .
  • Explore the human experience through established and fresh performance works which break with convention.
  • Seize opportunities for growth as an artistic company and family of supporters.
  • Make a life in the theatre a reality for aspiring local professionals, listen for new voices, and help them to be heard.
  • Make a difference by being different-that is, experience change as artists, people, and citizens committed to help make the Bay Area great.

Description

We are a band of happy artists that love creating performances that impact both our artists and patrons. We love to entertain and share in telling a good story. Our talented technicians, designers, directors, choreographers, dancers and actors all unite with the shared goal of capturing lightning in a bottle which compels us to produce great theatre. We are passionate about what we do and have a lot of fun doing it.

We are seeking like minded individuals that are slightly warped, creative, responsible, silly, talented, proactive, and fun to join the experiment.
