Mission Statement

GPA/GO is a member of a national 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to finding responsible loving homes for greyhounds who fail to qualify (or no longer qualify) to race. GPA educates the public on how ex-racers make excellent loving pets and how they are available for adoption to qualified homes.

Description

Greyhound Pets of America is the largest non-profit greyhound adoption group, and since it opened its doors in 1987 has adopted over 65,000 greyhounds into loving homes. Greyhound Pets of America has more than 10,000 members and 59 chapters and sub-chapters across the country.

The local chapter, GPA/Greater Orlando, has an adoption office and kennel facility located in Longwood, Florida. Through the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers GPA/GO finds homes for 300-500 retired racers every year.
