Mission Statement
The WLC Objectives
- To provide sanctuary to animals in need
- To bring natural science education to students and communities with limited access to the natural world
- To increase the public's environmental awareness, concern, and appreciation for wildlife through public education
Description
The WLC is a non-profit animal sanctuary nestled in an old olive grove in Sylmar, CA. We are home to over 70 species of rescued and zoo-born animals, ranging from lynx and servals to eagles and pythons. Nearly all of our animals travel to schools, libraries, birthday parties and corporate events to educate children and adults about the importance of nature.
