Mission Statement

Knine Rescue, Inc. is a small non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to animal care and protection. We assist shelters and other rescues (both in our area and out of our area of Montgomery County alike), and take on word of mouth tasks. Our goal is to promote responsible animal ownership, and to assume those responsibilities when others are unable or unwilling to do so. We are a virtual facility made up of foster homes and volunteers.

Description

We are a small diverse group of volunteers with no paid positions. Our comonality is a love of animals, and a desire to help continue a mission started by our founder and friend who suddenly passed away in May 2012.

Building and maintaining relationships in the community, with other rescues, shelters, vets, businesses. We hold several adoption events and fundraisers throughout the year in our community.

We transport pets to and from vets and events. Take owner surrenders, and assist in relocating pets. We raise funds to cover vetting, basic care, and kenneling when foster space is not available. We offer basic dog training to adoptive families to bond with their new family member. We also try to rehabilitate some of our surrenders or shelter dogs that didn't get the start in life they deserved.

We work as a team, and believe in open communication. Most of our team have full time day jobs, and families, and do this in their spare time, or as the situation calls for.
