Description

Spectrum is a Michigan 501c 3 human service organization. We are the twelfth largest private, nonprofit agency in southeast Michigan. In 1976, Spectrum was founded by a small group of people who were concerned about finding alternatives to institutionalization for children needing special care. It has since evolved into a multi-faceted human service agency offering a continuum of services, including foster care and adoption; family preservation services; wraparound services; home based services; Juvenile Justice Diversion and Reintegration Alternatives (JJDRA), independent living services & Youth in Transition; treatment and reintegration services for adjudicated youth; emergency shelter services for female youth; group homes for sexually abused young women; a 24/7 child care center and group homes for developmentally disabled and severely and persistently mentally ill adults.
