The mission of the Detroit Historical Museums and Society is to preserve and present the history of our region in tangible, real and vibrant ways that recognize and explain our shared past as the foundation for our future.

Description

The Detroit Historical Museums are comprised of the main historical museum on Woodward Avenue in Detroit's cultural center and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle. Both museums are great places for Detroiters and visitors alike to come and learn more about the city and it's rich history.
