YouthCARE's organizational mission is to promote respect for self and others, develop future leaders, and provide youth with positive multicultural activities and relationships with caring adults. YouthCARE's programs target Minneapolis and St. Paul youth, 7-18 years old, who face social or economic barriers.

Description

YouthCARE (Youth for Cultural Appreciation & Racial Equality) is a Twin Cities based nonprofit organization with over 30 years of experience in providing successful multicultural youth development services for Minneapolis and St. Paul youth, 7-18 years old. Since its inception in 1974, YouthCARE has developed and maintained a strong emphasis on bringing together youth from diverse ethnic, cultural and racial backgrounds. YouthCARE focuses on the importance of cooperation, appreciation of cultural differences, and multicultural friendships. All YouthCARE programs work to:
Promote respect, understanding and appreciation for others.
Help youth develop the skills necessary to live and work in a multicultural community.
Help youth develop the employment and leadership skills they need to make a successful transition from adolescence to adulthood
Provide opportunities for youth to participate in positive after-school, weekend and summer social, recreational and educational activities.
