The Boston Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit performing and visual arts complex that supports working artists to create, perform and exhibit new work, builds new audiences, and connects art to community.

Description

The BCA achieves its mission through these programs and services 1. Mills Gallery - Presenting five curated exhibitions of contemporary art each year that explore unique themes and ideas, and showcase new and bold work by local artists and visiting curators. 2. Resident Theater Program - Offering residencies to five of Boston's most acclaimed and promising theater companies, to support their audience development, artistic growth and financial stability. 3. Artist Studio Program - Maintaining affordable artist studios and work spaces and an environment for professional growth for more than 40 artists and 10 not-for-profit arts organizations. 4. Cultural Partners Program - Showcasing innovative arts organizations that connect new audiences to the arts through participation and audience interaction. 5. Community Engagement - Partnering with community-based organizations to expose 1,500 youth and adults to customized activities and experiences with the art and the artists of the BCA.
