Mission Statement
The mission of the Horsham Preservation and Historical Association (HPHA) is to identify, study, preserve and protect the historical heritage, buildings, land and artifacts of the Horsham area in a manner that is accessible to the public.
Description
HPHA was formed when the 1810 Strawbridge house, located next to Graeme Park, was threatened by demolition. Residents, led by Margaret Choate and assisted by Horsham Township, formed the association as a 501 (c) (3) corporation. Our strength is our passion to save and restore historic buildings and their history. HPHA has saved five historic buildings and has started a $2,000,000 restoration of the Strawbridge buildings. The intention is to create an 1800?s living history farm and public arboretum. HPHA has cataloged all buildings in Horsham Township that are unique or over 100 years old. We sponsor an annual show of Horsham art and artists. We have published a pictorial history book of Horsham. We are a source of information about Horsham?s history, people and structures.
