The mission of the Florida State Fairgrounds is to create positive entertainment experiences through; 1. The annual Florida State Fair 2. A variety of year-round events 3. Quality competitive programs 4. A commitment to agriculture, education and community service 5. A focus on new opportunities
The Florida State Fair Authority is owns over 330 acres in Hillsborough County, where it houses the Cracker Country Museum, a living history museum; the Florida Agribusiness Center, dedicated to promoting and educating children about the importance of agriculture and livestock; the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center; the Cattleman's Museum; and various venues for community events. The Authority does not receive any government funding and funds community programs through revenue from the annual Florida State Fair. The State Fair, in keeping with its mission, includes a variety of agricultural, educational and cultural experiences, in addition to the traditional midway. The 114th Florida State Fair will be held from February 8 to 19, 2018.
