Mission Statement

We transform high school students from underserved areas into leaders with the skills to go to and through college, to engage in civic action, and to articulate and solve challenges facing themselves and their communities.

Description

The Intersection is a multi-year leadership development program that engages students outside of school. Each year we welcome a cohort of 15 high school sophomores into the program and closely support them through their first year in college.

Intersection student leaders complete intensive training in communication and leadership. Alongside community partners, we coach our students as they organize real-life projects to better their communities. Additionally, we help our students access the information, tools and opportunities available for them to get to and through college.
