Mission Statement

Founded in 2005,The Harlem Jets, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (3) (c) corporation that serves the needs of young people both athletically and academically. Our goal is to connect with and advance the youth of Harlem through mentorship, tutoring and team sports. The Harlem Jets have been successful in utilizing sports and educational after-school programs to engage the youth of Harlem. As a result of our involvement, participants are able to learn the value of hard-work, determination, leadership, ambition and teamwork.

Description

  • Asses individual needs of participants referred with relation to math, reading, special subjects.
  • Provide participants with subject instruction to increase understanding and performance.
  • Supervise completion of homework in subjects were the participant is struggling.
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to families.
