Mission Statement

To help people with disabilities achieve and maintain their highest possible level of independence by providing free and compassionate transportation services to anywhere in the cities of Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage.

Description

We understand how vital transportation is to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Many of our neighbors face life-altering illnesses that require them to stop driving. It might be the onset of cataracts, glaucoma, severe back injuries, strokes, or even a temporary disability like a broken leg.

The inability to drive can quickly lead to missed medical appointments, malnutrition, chronic depression and many other terrible situations. Our local summer temperatures are well above 100 degrees and it is dangerous to wait in the elements for a public bus. Many of our clients cannot climb the steps to even board the busses. These individuals would very quickly face an unhealthy housebound lifestyle or be forced into assisted care facilities. We make it possible for them to remain in their own homes and still maintain their health and dignity.

We use sedans for ease of boarding. We meet them at their front doors and offer an arm for balance or push a wheelchair. We offer to escort them into any destination to ensure that they don't lose their way and that an employee knows of their arrival. We'll even carry their grocery bags into their kitchens for them.
