Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
"To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens." We accomplish this mission by providing a safe place to learn and grow, develop ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, participate in life-enhancing programs, build character development experiences, hope, and opportunity. In all of our programs we utilize a time-tested youth development strategy.
BGCMB serves over 2,400 children and youth ages 6 to 18, who live in some of Baltimore’s most severely distressed communities, annually. Close to 200 kids pass through the doors of our Boys & Girls Clubs in Brooklyn Homes, O’Donnell Heights, Park Heights, and Westport Homes each day.
In addition to establishing Clubs in underserved communities, BGCMB continues to develop a strong organizational structure. We have a committed and evolving local Board of Directors and we have recruited and hired a dedicated group of youth development professionals. Not to metionion our Board, staff and volunteers are committed to offer quality and effective programs/services covering education, character & leadership, career exploration, the arts, health, and sports & fitness to the children and families of Baltimore City.
We are proud of the progress we have made but recognize that we have taken only the first step on the long journey to making sure that we reach as many children in Baltimore we can by providing a safe place to learn, grow, have fun with their peers, and connect with positive adult staff and volunteers.
